Ryan Long is an American entrepreneur and founder of City Gala[1] and City Summit. Long is best known as a fundraiser for charitable organizations. Long's events include celebrities and honorees The Hollywood Reporter[2], Forbes[3], The Huffington Post[4], Variety[5], Inc.[6], Entrepreneur[7], ET[8], Billboard[9], Medium[10], Thrive Global[11], and Press Pass LA[12].

In 2012, Long had an idea to bring President Bill Clinton[13] to Hollywood during the week of the Academy Awards. Long also developed the idea of providing a platform for Oscar winner James Cameron[14] to support an upstart charity named Community Inspiring Today’s Youth(CITY)[15], on the evening of the Academy Awards. Through the Philanthropy United campaign, Long was instrumental in an event that helped raise funds and awareness for multiple foundations at Unite4:humanity 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Ryan Long was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles with his brother and sister.

Fitness Edit

Long started working at LA Fitness in 2002 and in just two short years he rose to the level of Fitness Director of several LA Fitness locations.

Entertainment Industry Edit

Long started in the entertainment business in Hollywood, California as a nightclub promoter at Avalon Hollywood.

Executive Producer Edit

In 2011 Long executive produced an event at the Playboy Mansion. The event was held on the evening of the Grammy Awards and hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs[16]. The event was called “Fame at the Mansion” and benefitted the Angelwish Foundation[17].

Long executive produced “Fame & Philanthropy,” and the funds that were raised for the charities supported by Colin Farrell and special guests Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, and Ne-Yo. The beneficiary of the 2014 Fame & Philanthropy gala[18], Community Inspiring Today's Youth (CITY), was able to open its first office and fund its operations for an entire year.

In 2015, Long founded City Gala to assist startup non-profit organizations in gaining funds and awareness. The City Gala has featured speakers and honorees such as Sir Richard Branson, Jane Seymour, John Travolta, and Halle Berry. Shortly after founding the City Gala, Long executive produced the Novus Summit[19] at the United Nations that featured speakers and a theme of how innovation and technology is moving forward against today’s global grand challenges.

The City Summit[20], which Long founded in 2016 in order to assist entrepreneurs in business acceleration. The first ever City Summit was headlined by Halle Berry and Anthony Mackie and featured speakers and entrepreneurs Scott E. Parazynski, Noel Lee, David Meltzer (sports executive), Jay Abraham, Jeff Timmons, and Nik Halik.

Personal Life Edit

Long resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota and has one son.
